João Gabriel, who also uses João Miguel Gabriel professionally, is a Lawyer and a Consultant at GPA Law Firm.
He joined GPA Law Firm in 2013, as an Intern, having assumed, since September 2018, the position of Consultant. He has more than 20 years of experience, and his relevant areas of expertise are the following: Data Protection, TMT, Public and Corporate Law.
He has been teaching, coordinating and managing courses on Data Protection, Big Data, IT and Cybersecurity since 2014, being a certified trainer. He is also certified as a Data Protection Practitioner and systems analysis professional.
He serves as Data Protection Officer in several organizations.
Relevant areas of expertise also include the design and implementation of compliance programs, drafting of documentation and related contracts, Privacy by Design, consulting and Privacy Impact Assessments.
He is a regular speaker at national and international conferences on his topics of expertise, is a member of the Cyber Committee Board AFCEA Portugal and author of several publications on data protection and cybersecurity.
