News Renewal of the State of Emergency 14/01/2021

Pursuant to the Decree of the President of the Republic No. 6-B / 2021 of 13 January, the declaration of a state of emergency was renewed (already duly authorized by the Resolution of the Assembly of the Republic No. 1-B / 2021) by a new period of 15 days, based on the confirmation of a situation of public calamity, which will start at 00:00 on January 16, 2021 and will end at 23:59 on January 30, 2021, without prejudice to possible future renewals.

It is thus awaiting the publication of the regulations for the new renewal of the State of Emergency which, apparently, will establish rules similar to those that prevailed during the “Confinement” of March 2020, despite some relevant differences and exceptions, namely regarding operation of educational establishments, religious celebrations, physical activity and sports, professional sports, restaurants, fairs and markets.
