News News Flash - Exceptional and Temporary Regime for Insurance Contracts within the scope of Covid-19 13/05/2020

On the 12th of May, Decree-Law No. 20-F / 2020 was published in Diário da República, which established a temporary temporary regime for the payment of the insurance premium and the effects of reducing the risk of the activity in some insurance contracts, in response to the impact of the Coronavirus / Covid-19 pandemic outbreak in the exercise of insurance activity.

The Decree-Law in question came into force on the day following its publication and will remain in effect until September 30, 2020, without prejudice to the period of contractual effectiveness that will result from the application of the exceptional regimes established in its rules.
