News National Sustainability Day 25/09/2024

25 September was established as ‘National Sustainability Day’ by Council of Ministers Resolution 56/2023 of 9 June.

The day coincides with the date on which the United Nations adopted the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The GPA wants to play an active role in promoting the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, particularly in pursuing the following Sustainable Development Goals: 1 (No Poverty), 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), 4 (Quality Education), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), 10 (Reduced Inequalities), 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), 13 (Climate Action), 14 (Life below water), 15 (Life on Land), 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) and 17 (Partnership for the Goals).

The internal GPA Sustainable Impact project monitors GPA Law Firm’s Environmental Impact by measuring the following parameters:

- Energy: Office and Internal Fleet

- Water

- Paper

- Volume of waste produced and its recovery rate

- Distance travelled on business trips

- Cork stoppers

- Used batteries collected.

GPA Law Firm has set itself the goal of drawing up and publishing its first Sustainable Impact Report in 2025.
