Manuel Gouveia Pereira has developed his expertise over the last 20 years in the areas of Environment, Climate Change, ESG – Environmental, Social & Governance, Sustainability, Carbon, Energy Transition, Environmental Litigation, Compliance and Environmental Licensing.

He holds a Master's Degree in Administrative Law from Faculdade de Direito, Universidade de Lisboa, and a postgraduate degree in Planning, Urbanism and Environmental Law, CEDOUA, from Faculdade de Direito, Universidade de Coimbra, which he completed after graduating in Law from Faculdade de Direito, Universidade Lusíada, Lisboa. Author of several publications, he has been lecturing, since 2015, Environmental Law at the seminar on Environmental Policy and Innovation, within the scope of the Integrated Master in Environmental Engineering of the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade Nova, Lisboa.

Manuel Gouveia Pereira developed his professional career in prestigious law firms, moving from Vieira de Almeida & Associados – Sociedade de Advogados SP, RL (VdA) where he worked for 15 years and was Managing Associate of the Environment practice area. He was responsible, for 8 years, for the Green Project (Environmental Sustainability) of VdA. Manuel Gouveia Pereira was also Legal Advisor to the Cabinet of two Ministers of Environment.
