News GPA provides training on the DAC6 Directive and its transposition in Portugal 05/03/2021

Tomás Gonçalves da Costa, GPA’s Associate Lawyer in Regulatory Financial Law, held a training action on the Directive (EU) 2018/822, usually known by the English acronym “DAC6”, and its transposition by Law no. 26/2020, of July 21st, taking into account the new communication obligations imposed on lawyers.

The stated objective of DAC6 is to enhance transparency and to communicate information to the Portuguese Tax and Customs Authority concerning transactions for the purpose of obtaining tax advantages.

At the training action, held on February 26th, there were around 40 GPA’s trainees.
