News GPA Law Firm launches GPA Sustainable Impact 25/09/2023

GPA Law Firm launches GPA Sustainable Impact, the Firm’s environmental sustainability project, led by Manuel Gouveia Pereira, Of Counsel and Head of Environment, Climate Change & ESG.

With this initiative, GPA Law Firm joins the celebration of the Portuguese Sustainability National Day, also acknowledging the date of adoption of the 17 SDGs, in 2015, by the UN.

GPA Sustainable Impact – which goes beyond the “Green Commitment” engaged by GPA Law Firm, through the “Be Aware. Be Sustainable” principle and through the adhesion to the European Green Capital Lisbon Commitment 2020 – Climate Action Lisbon 2030 – is strongly anchored on environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

 Manuel Gouveia Pereira clarifies that  “The main purposes of this project are minimizing and compensating our environmental and carbon footprint, the alignment with the best Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) practices and to impact the community, in a positive and sustainable way, in a logic of giving back to society.”

 The launching of GPA Sustainable Impact is part of a set of other recent initiatives linked to the Firm’s sustainability commitment, such as the creation of practice areas exclusively focused on the Environment, Climate Change and ESG and becoming an associate of GRACE – Empresas Responsáveis, where GPA Law Firm will take part in the Legal, Financial and Climate Action Clusters.
