Martim Ferreira, GPA Academy Training Coordinator, was at the 11th National Annual Data Protection Conference, one of the oldest Data Protection conferences held in Dublin, Ireland, on the 23rd and 24th of January, 2019.
This event was promoted by the Association of Data Protection Officers and the Irish Computer Society (ICS), GPA Academy’s training and certification partners in Data Protection Practices.
During this two-day program, one for the pre-conference and another for the conference, series of informative workshops were held providing the opportunity to share experiences and different points of view on data protection legislation.
‘At the pre-conference workshops I chose the one which best provided the data protection’s perspective and that also looked at some of the genuine challenges arising from GDPR. It was very useful and helped me to improve the quality of the training in Portugal, too.’ says Martim Ferreira.
The GPA’s Academy Training Coordinator points out that he is ‘enriched by the international perspective of people who have already started working with personal data before it was cool and with more information on the genuine challenges arising from GDPR’.
Among others, the conference was handled by lawyers João Gabriel, Ricardo Couto and Catarina Costa Ramos, respectively GPA’s Of-Counsels and Managing Associate.
