News ESG in the insurance sector | An article by Rita Sousa Carlos 29/01/2023

Rita Sousa Carlos, trainee lawyer at GPA, is the author of the article "ESG in the insurance sector - an overview", published in the Revista de Direito Financeiro e dos Mercados de Capitais (Journal of Financial and Capital Markets Law), Vol. 5 (2023).

With this article, Rita Sousa Carlos aimed to:

- highlight the relevant impacts on the activity of insurance companies of the rules on the design, approval and commercialisation of products, risk management, reporting and disclosure of sustainability information; and

- refer to the more specific rules for aligning with the European environmental taxonomy and combating greenwashing of insurance products.
